For Apple Users

Make sure your iPhone is up to date with the latest software. May of these bugs or issues are able to be resolved with simply updating your device. Those updates are made to fix glitches that occur.

If it is a third party application you are using like Waze, make sure your apps are up to date. Sometimes developers of applications will make improvements or changes to their software that requires a different system requirement for the mobile device it is downloaded on.

Give permission for your apps to use your location. This is probably the most common reason why the GPS doesn’t work. Sometimes we forget to enable location services in our apps. You have to give it permission to work or it simply will not work. (Settings>Privacy> Location Services)

Toggle setting features off and on. Sometimes, our gadgets need a little nudge. Try this to see if it revives your GPS.

Settings > Privacy > Location Services. Toggle Off, wait 15 seconds and toggle back On

Settings > Airplane Mode. Toggle On, wait 15 seconds and toggle back Off
Settings > WiFi. Toggle Off, wait 15 seconds and toggle back On

4) Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data. Toggle Off, wait 15 seconds and toggle back On (if nothing, restart device)

Reset Networking Settings in your phone (settings>general>reset>reset network settings). Your data will not be erased but you will need to save your wifi /cellular settings, including saved networks (home or work) and VPN settings.

Reset Location & Privacy. Settings> General> Reset> Reset location & privacy. When this is performed, apps stop using your location until you give them permission again.
For Samsung/Google Users

You have to give it permission to work or it simply will not work. (Apps>Settings> Privacy and Safety>Location and switch to ON> tap Location Method> tap Locating Method> tap GPS, Wi-Fi, and Mobile networks)

If the issue remains, perform a soft reset. Leave the phone powered on. Remove the battery and after 10 seconds, reinsert the battery. Turn phone back on.
