For
Apple Users

Check to
make sure your Airplane Mode is turned off. If it already is off,
turn it on, wait 5 seconds, and turn it off.

Make sure
your DO NOT DISTURB settings are turned off. You can easily see if
this feature is on by checking for a half moon on the top right
corner of your display near your battery symbol. To confirm it is
off, go to Settings> turn off DO NOT DISTURB.

Check for
blocked phone numbers by going to Settings> Phone> Call
Blocking & Identification.

Check to
see if Call Forwarding is turned on by going to Settings> Phone>>
Call Forwarding and confirm it is turned off.
If
these issues still do not resolve the issue…

Check for
a carrier settings update. Just like our tech gadgets have regular
system updates, carriers will also update their towers for
improvements to make sure we get proper cell phone reception and
avoid dropped or missed calls. (Settings>General>About. There
will be an options available directly from the phone to update with
the carrier)

Make sure
your iPhone is up to date with the latest software. Issues with
calls can be with simply not updating your device. Those updates are
made to fix glitches that occur. (Settings>General>Software
Update).

Check your
SIM card. If you have a SIM card, remove it and reinsert it. There
may an issue with the SIM card (dirty or damaged, corrosion) and it
needs to be replaced.

Call the
carrier to verify there is no issue with the SIM card.

Contact carrier to verify your account is set up to use the iPhone
-
Contact carrier to verify that there are no service outages in your
area.
-
Contact carrier to verify that there are no billing related issues.
-
Again, verify that your calls do not have errors within the
carriers system.

Reset
Networking Settings in your phone (settings>general>reset>reset
network settings). Your data will not be erased but you will need to
save your wifi /cellular settings, including saved networks (home or
work) and VPN settings.
For
Samsung Users
-
Try
calling a different contact in your phone to check to see if it is
just an issue with one contact.

Check your
SIM card. If you have a SIM card, remove it for 1 minute and
reinsert it. There may an issue with the SIM card (dirty or damaged,
corrosion) and it needs to be replaced.

Call the
carrier to verify there is no issue with the SIM card.
-
Contact carrier to verify that there are no service outages in your
area.
-
Contact carrier to verify that there are no billing related issues.
-
Again, verify that your calls do not have errors within the
carriers system for phone calls.

Verify and
make sure that the number is not on the Auto Reject List
-
Power on
the device in Safe Mode to see if the issue persists.
-
Disable
and remove applications that have features to block and reject
calls.

Make sure
Flight Mode is disabled.

Perform a
Factory Reset
-
If issue
persists, contact carrier.
