The plan offered for purchase is determined by the school board and management. The insurance policy will cover some or all these coverages based on the plan you purchase: Extended Warranty (Mechanical Malfunction), Accidental Damage, Loss, Theft, Flood, and Perils.

The information about your student/child such as First Name, Last Name, Student ID, Asset Tag ID, and other similar information. The information request is not a requirement of Securranty but is collected at the request of the school board or management so they can identify students that have purchased insurance.

New/Refurbished items, the Plan begins the day you purchased the item and lasts for the number of years you chose at purchase time. If you choose a monthly billing plan, Plan begins the day you purchase the Plan and lasts till you cancel.

Yes, the warranty and insurance plan covers your item when traveling anywhere within USA or worldwide.

After completing the purchase, an automated email is sent to the email address provided, confirming purchase-including details of the policy purchased.  The email will also include instructions to set up an account password. You may log in to the account to view details of the policy purchased. Sometimes, these emails may get caught in the spam or junk folder. If you didn’t receive the email, reset your password by clicking on forgot password on the login page.

A store receipt for the item you have purchased our protection plan for is typically required. The store receipt must clearly display the item purchase date, price paid & store name. After purchasing our protection plan, we recommend you upload your proof of purchase to your account and allow us to store it for you. This will allow for a hassle-free claims process.

Mechanical Malfunction covers failures such as Touch Screen, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, No Power, Hard Drive failure, and other internal malfunction of a device including malfunction of A/C adapter/Power Supply.

If a device issued to the student/child is already damaged or is malfunctioning, we recommend you contact the school's IT department to have it fixed before purchasing insurance. To purchase insurance on a device, the device must be fully functional with no pre-existing failures or damage.

Yes, typically a deductible applies when you file a claim, as low as $25.  You can view the deductible when purchasing insurance and after completing purchase in your account.  Securranty has customized programs of $0 deductible for Business & Enterprise customersK-12 Schools, Colleges & Universities and Distributor and Reseller Partners. 

We do offer a monthly payment option for certain plans. Our plans are very competitive and affordable. The monthly payment option may not be available for all warranties or insurance plans.
You may purchase a protection plan before you receive the item. Your coverage will begin the date on the invoice or the date the item was delivered to you, whichever is later. You may be required to provide proof of delivery to begin coverage as of the delivery date.
We do auto renew plans for Smartphones, Tablets, Laptops and certain other items. You may log in to your account and click on the plan to view if your plan may renew automatically. You may cancel the auto renew option by simply logging into your account.
We only provide protection plans for mobile devices or other items that come with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty and made for the U.S. market.
For New products, the first year is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, and Securranty covers the remaining years of extended warranty coverage purchased. For example, if you purchase a 4-Year warranty, the 1st year will be covered by the manufacturer, and the remaining 3-years will be covered by Securranty.
