Yes, as it is the nature of the insurance business. However, we do not reject claims based on discretion or judgment and only reject a claim based on the information provided by the customer and other documentary evidence. Below are Reasons for claim rejection:
Pre-existing failure or Damage: Any failure, damage, or loss existing on a device or item before the Coverage Start Date is not covered.
New Devices covered by Manufacturer Warranty for Year 1: Manufacturer warranty covers mechanical malfunction or breakdowns when a device is under manufacturer's warranty for one year, from date of purchase.
Loss is not covered by customer coverage/policy: If a customer purchase only Accidental Damage coverage and files a claim for Lost or Theft, then such loss would not be covered.
Cosmetic Damage: Any scratches, dents, or other cosmetic damage to external casings that do not interfere with the use of the device or are safe for handling and use. However, we may still perform such cosmetic repairs, at our discretion, in certain cases to prevent further damage.
Fraud, intentional damage, misuse, or abuse: If a customer provides false or incorrect information, the claim is escalated to management for review and verification before it is denied. The customer is informed that their actions may be considered fraudulent under Federal regulations.
